Harmony House is a charitable organization providing a wide range of services to support the victims of domestic violence and promote family harmony. We are seeking dedicated people who share our values and contribute to our growth.

 

   1. Executive Director

Responsibilities

The ED is responsible to the Board of Directors of the agency.

  1. Provide the overall leadership to ensure the smooth running of the organization & its programs
  2. Cultivate new & deepen existing relationships to promote the organization & raise funds
  3. Manage both internal & external stakeholders effectively to align interests to achieve our mission
  4. Ensure our financial & cash flow position is sound
  5. Build & develop the team to maximize team morale, cohesiveness & minimize undesired turnover
  6. Ensure proper policies, processes & procedures are in place & followed to maximize agency effectiveness  

Requirements:

  • Registered Social Worker with a Master Degree or above in Social Work or related discipline
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with minimum 8 years in senior management
  • Knowledge of funding applications and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sectors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese are essential
  • Strong leadership, good planning and organizing skill

 

   2. Current Project - Social Worker / Counselor for Combating Domestic Violence  (Ref. Code: SW/C) – Kwun Tong

   Responsibilities:

  1.  Provide counseling to families suffering from domestic violence
  2.  Conduct therapeutic groups and educational programs for individuals and families affected by domestic violence
  3.  Carry out educational talks in schools and kindergartens
  4.  Assist hotline counseling service
  5.  Liaise with community organizations for service promotion

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work / Counseling or above
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Have work experience with families is an asset.
  • Night duty is required

 

   3. Social Worker for Women Shelter (Ref: HSW)

Responsibilities:

  1. Render casework and therapeutic groups for female victims of domestic violence and their children
  2. Implement aftercare services and programs for women and children
  3. Provide crisis intervention and hotline services
  4. Assist shelter management and operation

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work, RSW
  • Two years of relevant working experience preferred
  • Shift and weekend duties commensurate with duty allowance
  • Independent, reliable team player with passion to serve

 

  4. Social Work Assistant for Women Shelter (Ref. Code: SWA)

(Full-time/Part-time/ Overnight shift duty are available)

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hotline counseling service
  2. Organize childcare support groups/programs
  3. Implement parent-child relationship enhancement program
  4. Conduct brief counseling, risk and need assessment

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Associate Degree in Social Work or above, RSW
  • 1 year relevant working experience preferred
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Overnight shift and weekend duties commensurate with duty allowance

 

  5. Family Support Worker for Women Shelter (Ref. Code: FSW)

(Full-time/Part-time/ Overnight shift duty are available)

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hotline counseling service
  2. Organize child care support/parent-child relationship enhancement program for shelter residents
  3. Provide support to the daily functioning of residents

Requirements:

  • HKCEE/Diploma or above
  • 1 year working experience preferred
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Overnight shift and weekend duties commensurate with duty allowance

     ** All full-time posts are 5-day work / 44 hours per week **
