On October 27 and November 1 2023, more than 60 teachers and students from The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Shatin) attended the talk at Harmony House and visited our centre. We shared the current situation, phenomenon, tendency of domestic violence in Hong Kong, services of Harmony House and other community resources that are provided for and supported the victims of domestic violence. Furthermore, we explored the challenges of handling the cases of domestic violence with them. Throughout the talk, students got to know more about different forms of domestic violence, understood the mental wellbeing of the victims and abusers, and advocated the services addressed to victims and abusers.
