Milestones

Our Journey of Protecting Families and Driving Change

Harmony House has played a pioneering role in Hong Kong's response to domestic violence since 1985. As the first shelter for abused women and their children in Hong Kong, we have continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of individuals, families and communities affected by violence.

This milestone timeline highlights key moments in our development, from the expansion of shelter and counselling services, to the establishment of one‑stop anti‑domestic violence organisation providing community education initiatives, women empowerment programs, professional training and policy advocacy. Each milestone reflects our long‑term commitment to protecting women and children, strengthening families, and advancing a safer, more compassionate Hong Kong.
