Harmony House (the “Agency) is looking to recruit for the Executive Director (“ED”) position. The Agency is a charitable organization that provides a wide range of services to support victims of domestic violence and promote family harmony. We are seeking a visionary leader who shares our values to provide strategic leadership and operational management, and drive our next phase of growth and social impact.

 

The ideal candidate will be a strong motivator, capable of fostering good team work, drive fundraising efforts, and build partnerships to maximise our community impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the Agency’s mission.
  2. Provide overall leadership to service deliveries.
  3. Oversee daily operations, including financial and human resource management, to ensure smooth running of the Agency, proper policies and procedures are in place and followed, to maximize the Agency’s effectiveness
  4. Cultivate new and deepen existing donor relationships, spearhead initiatives to diversify avenue of sourcing donation to raise funding.
  5. Represent the Agency to partners, government, media, and the public to increase visibility.
  6. Manage both internal & external stakeholders effectively to align interests to achieve the Agency’s mission.
  7. Provide overall leadership to maintain high staff morale, develop strong team cohesiveness & minimize staff turnover.
  8. Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on strategic goals, operational risks and financial health.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Registered Social Worker with a Master Degree or above in Social Work or related discipline
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with minimum 8 years in senior management
  • Knowledge of funding applications and donor engagement unique to the nonprofit sectors
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese are essential
  • Strong leadership, good planning and organizational skills
