HARMONY HOUSE is a non-governmental, charitable organization specializing in dealing with domestic violence issues. The agency is seeking for self-motivated, team-oriented and committed individuals for the following positions:
I . Senior Communication/Education Officer (Ref. code : SC/EO)
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement strategies to raise public awareness on domestic violence
- Liaise with external organizations and media
- Organize mass events and conduct community education programs
- Provide write-up on a broad-range of promotional/educational materials
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications/Social Work/ Education or related discipline
- At least 5 years of post-degree relevant work experience
- Good PC knowledge and skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Efficient and ability to handle multi-tasks and ad-hoc matters
*Candidates with less years of experience may be considered for the position of communication/education officer.
II. Social Worker (Ref. code : BM-SW)
Responsibilities:
- To conduct community education, talks and volunteer training
- To write and compile educational and promotion materials
- To conduct mutual support groups
- To conduct emotion management and positive parenting workshops
- To develop neighborhood child care services
Requirements:
- Registered social worker with diploma or associate degree in social work
- Experience in working with women and children definite asset
- Immediate availability preferred
III Program Assistant (Ref. code : PA)
Responsibilities:
- To assist in the implementation of parenting programs and groups
- To provide clerical and administrative support
- To assist in the organization of mass events
Requirements:
Diploma or associate degree in human service related discipline
Hands on experience in Microsoft Office
NGO experience an asset
People-oriented and willing to learn
